Transparency International Kyrgyzstan has launched the project “Development Pacts II: An accountability tool in the hands of local communities in Kyrgyzstan” supported by UNDEF. 

This project aims to improve the role of communities in local decision-making processes and their access to public goods and services to Kyrgyz communities’ by reducing the gap between public demand for improved delivery and the responsiveness of local authorities and public representatives to meet demand.

The accountability tool ‘Development Pacts’ created by Transparency International during a previous UNDEF funded project, will be employed throughout this project to create incentives for public office actors ensuring the demonstration of higher standards of performance and accountability in the delivery of public services to local communities.
